ECLIPSE

CA$150.00

Limited edition of 104. 22” X 30”

This piece depicts the Nuu-Chah-Nulth oral history of a great lingcod swallowing the moon during an eclipse. back in the long ago our People used to have a ceremony during the eclipse. They would sing so that the cod fish would spit the moon back out. I did this painting because I use it as a metaphor for Covid, where right now it’s like a year long eclipse, and through ceremony and prayers we can get through Covid, and the world will return back to us.
